The choice to make a World of Warcraft movie was an obvious one, as I was playing the game for over a year by the time I started to make it. Getting the movie started, however, was tough because I was in the middle of several things, such as a collaboration and moving.
I had several ideas for this movie, but I ended up using one of the first ones I came up with. I didn’t want to make a movie that was too dependent on WoW to enjoy which is where a lot of WoW movies fall short. I also used a new style while making this movie as well.
When I first thought of the idea of a WoW movie, I expected it to be a series. But during the course of making it I decided I wanted to focus on more original movies. Since I work slower with flash, I thought making more A&K or something new more worth the time.
Fun Fact #1: Brudder and Ragnock were my first 2 WoW characters. Originally the troll was going to be named Hexx, after my Troll Rogue, but decided I might wanted to save the real Hexx for a future movie. The name Gajaba came from my friends character he played briefly named Jagaba, which was a random name generated by the game.
Fun Fact #2: I picked the name Gajaba because I wanted it to be hard to say. I never got to use the joke where Ragnock couldn’t pronounce his name, calling him “gingerbread” because there wasn’t much room for it.
Fun Fact #3: The human in the purple robes is named Xiphon, a character in my friends Xiphon’s flash series “The Shadows of Azeroth.”
Fun Fact #4: Spinkets is a warlock, and her demon pet is her frog Reberticus. I didn’t reveal it in the movie because I wanted to save it for another possible installment.
